Christmas Came Early: The Star Movie Premiere

I’m so excited to share with you all what I’ve been up to! I most recently got to cover a movie premiere for media outlet Black Hollywood Live. As their host for the day, I attended the movie premiere of the upcoming film The Star. The animated comedy will focus on the nativity story from the animals’ perspective who were present on the birth of Jesus Christ.

Christmas came early to LA, as the Regency Village Theatre in Westwood was transformed into a winter wonderland with fresh white Christmas trees and a snow white carpet.

I was filled with gratitude and generosity throughout the day after speaking with Jane The Virgin’s Gina Rodriguez who plays Mary. She revealed some interesting facts about Mary. Gina will also bring to life Mary’s significance beyond what the Bible reveals. Along with cheerful faces and bright smiles, the movie’s soundtrack blasted throughout the event which features Mariah Carey, Fifth Harmony, and Kirk Franklin.

The amazing day continued with the arrival of executive producer and his wife Megan Good. He revealed the clarity and the significance of The Star.

Aside from feeling a sense of peace and joy, I left the event wanting to look beyond the meaning of what Christmas has become [gift giving and gift receiving]. I believe this film will give viewers a new insight on the purpose of Christmas.

The film will arrive in theaters on November 17.
